UK's largest ECO scheme to benefit 5000 Stockton Borough homes

A scheme which has brought warmer homes, lower energy bills and 500 new jobs to Stockton-on-Tees is now being extended across the borough, making it the first of its kind in the UK. The GoWarm project, run by Community Interest Company Community Energy Solutions (CES) and Stockton Borough Council, has already helped 1700 homes across Stockton and Thornaby to improve their energy efficiency and reduce their fuel bills by up to £750 a year. -

STOCKTON'S Riveting Stuff festival is issuing a challenge far and wide – can you build a working raft or bridge? The Riveting Stuff festival, held at the Tees Barrage from Friday 31 May – Sunday 2 June, is a celebration of our proud engineering history and a look to the future. There are a host of activities and displays throughout the event and on Saturday 1 June (10am – 5pm) and Sunday 2 June (11am – 5pm) there are two special team challenges. -
