Here's the latest happenings within Stockton Renaissance:

Family Poverty Event - March 2012

The Stockton Renaissance Partnership Board held a themed event focussing on Family Poverty to inform and populate the Family Poverty Framework. There were guest speakers Stockton District Advice and Information Service (SDAIS), Children North East and Public Health NHS Tees. Sara Bryson from Children North East presented a DVD of images which young people from across the North East had taken to represent their take on poverty in their area. There was a also an interesting presentation from SDAIS on maximising family income.

Armed Forces Community Covenant signed by Stockton Renaissance Partnership Board

The Armed Forces Community Covenant was signed off by Stockton Renaissance Partnership Board and other representatives such as the Mayor and the Armed Forces on March 7th 2012. The Community Covenant is a voluntary statement of mutual support between a civilian community and its local Armed Forces Community. The aim of the Community Covenant is to encourage local communities to support the Service community in their area and promote understanding and awareness amongst the public of issues affecting the Armed Forces Community.

The next meeting of the Stockton Renaissance Partnership Board will take place on Tuesday 15th May 2012 at 5pm.

Future agenda items include: Family Poverty Framework, Equality Objectives, Work Programme Programme providers update.
