Today I attended the Consecration of the new Bishop of Whitby at York Minster.  The Right Reverend Martin Clive Warner, who was previously Canon Treasurer of St Paul's Cathedral, has taken over from the Right Rev Robert Ladds, who retired last year. The Archbishop of York, Dr John Sentamu, carried out the consecration.  It was a lovely service.

This evening Mary and I attended the Lord Lieutenant of Durham's Certificate Presentation Ceremony which was held at the TA Centre in Norton.  Sir Paul Nicholson was in attendance to present certificates of good service and other awards to members of the Territorial Army and Army Cadets.  We both enjoyed talking to the cadets and their families afterwards.
