Today Mary and I attended a service in Middlesbrough to remember the
victims of the WW2 Holocaust and other genocides around the world.
The service was well supported and is attended by various faiths.
Joe Gellert from Ponteland who lost 35 family members to Nazi
persecution read the opening address. The event also commemorated
victims of recent conflicts such as those in Cambodia, Bosnia and Kosovo.
Well done to Margaret Thompson who has organised this service for
many years.
