Today Mary and I attended the North Yorkshire County Council Civic Service which was held at St John the Baptist Church, Hunsingore.  It was a lovely service which was very well attended. Following the service we joined the Chairman of North Yorkshire County Council and other civic guests for lunch.

We then came back to the Thornaby Pavilion to see the finals of the Stockton Junior 4 Star Table Tennis competition organised by the Cleveland County Table Tennis Association.  This is a major junior event on the English Table Tennis Association calendar and competitors had come from all parts of the British Isles and included a large contingent from Ireland.  The event had been well supported by our Sports Development Team.  I was also very impressed with the Thornaby Pavilion - it is an ideal place to hold such a competition.
