This morning I attended a Citizenship Ceremony at which 13 adults and 4
minors became British Citizens. Professor Anstee, Deputy Lieutenant
of Durham, also attended today so it was a very busy ceremony. As
usual It turned out to be a very enjoyable occasion and the children were
delightful.
This evening Mary and I attended the Tees Valley Rural Community Council
Calor Tees Valley Village of the Year Awards. I was delighted to
present Thorpe Thewles History Group with an award for Outstanding Rural
Community Group and Gareth Rees of Thorpe Thewles with the Rural Community
Champion Award. Congratulations these awards were very well
deserved.
