This morning Mary and I went to the Teesside Model Air Show at Redmarshall,
Stockton-on-Tees.  My vision of this event was totally different to reality. I had not realised how big some of these model planes were. I am sure there were some big enough to take me on holiday. The weather was too hot and I managed to get a bit of sunburn.  

This afternoon we attended the Chairman of Durham County Council's Civic Service in Durham Cathedral. This service gave thanks to the district councils for their committed service over the last 35 years and an act of dedication for the new Unitary Authority which came into effect on 1 April 2009. Following the service we walked with the rest of the "chain gang" to Durham Town Hall for a reception.
