Mayor of Seaham's Charity Night 1 | Mayor with Mayoress of Sunderland | Mayoress and Mayor of Sunderland | Mayor of Seaham Charity Night

Kevin, the Mayor's Attendant, had no trouble finding the Conservative Club in Seaham as he lives in the town. When Marjorie and I arrived at the club we followed some of the Chain Gang (Mayors) into the club where more were already seated at the tables. We met Cllr. Brian Allen, the Mayor of Seaham Town Council and his Mayoress Mrs Sarah McLoughlan. When all the civic dignitaries were assembled I did a quick count and there were about 15 mayors in attendance.  Being a charity night there were the usual raffle, tombola and blind cards for sale. Marjorie didn't have any luck on the tombola, but she won a prize on the blind card and I won two prizes in the raffle.

The entertainment was by the "Extraordinary Ladies" group who sang a variety of songs during their two spots during the evening. Marjorie had been through Seaham twice on Tuesday as she had been at a meeting in Newcastle and travelled by train.

We had a pleasant drive home after another enjoyable evening.
