Stockton Show 1 |

For Marjorie and I it was back to the Riverside to visit the Stockton Show, which was much quieter than yesterday when the Rat Race took place.  The weather was sunny and quite a bit warmer for us to walk about and see everything that was on show.  First we watched the dog show and then we were asked to judge the best dog of the competition.  What a job to be given as we both know very little about dog judging.  Still we had expert advice, and the dogs looked so sweet - we hope we had made the right choice.  As it happened all the competitors got a prize, so we didn't feel too bad about our judging.

It was then into the marquee to see the Punch and Judy show, which we haven't seen for such a long time, but we enjoyed it.  We looked round the craft stalls and Marjorie met an ex-midwife who she had worked with in North Tees Hospital.  There was a Tombola stall there for Butterwick Hospice and we were greeted like friends by the volunteers.  Again with our luck we didn't win anything.  A young boy with his mother was fascinated by the mayoral chain and we had our photographs taken with them.

We watched the stuntmen going through their routines and enjoyed the fights, bangs and crashes before we left for home.
