No official engagements today, so after doing some sorting out, it was tipping out of last night's best handbag, and putting the contents into the little backpack. Robin Hoods Bay - here we come. It would have been a pity not to take advantage of what could have been the last day our summer, and it was glorious there.
News that my niece, Jo, is coming home soon after a year's travelling around the world. She sent me a lovely pashmina that I can wear on Mayoral visits - watch out for it now it is getting cooler. It came from the back streets of Kathmandu whilst she was avoiding the curfew when the riots were on. As she says, a pashmina with a story to tell. Have a look at her blog (but mine was first!) whilst she is still posting.
