How do I apply for a Busker's Licence

Stockton is proud and privileged to have one of the largest "foot street" areas in Europe. We welcome street entertainments (buskers) that provide colour, interest and vibrancy to its street scene. Such activity can often improve the environment for both locals and visitors alike. As part of our Town Centre and Markets Service, Stockton now operates a "badging" (permit style) scheme outlines and ensures minimum standards that can be expected of entertainers performing on Stockton's Streets (NB there is no charge for this scheme).

If you would like to register as a busker, please download our registration form and Busking Guide to Stockton on Tees, and return the form to the address that is on the form together with 2 passport photos. We will then process the form and contact you to arrange a short audition and then provide you with your 12-month license.
