Please note: The Register Office at Middlesbrough holds records for the majority of births and deaths registered between October 1971 and 31 March 1996. The Register Office here at Stockton-on-Tees holds records of births, deaths and marriages that occurred in the Stockton Borough registered from 1 April 1996. For information concerning marriages for the Stockton-on-Tees district between 1837 and September 1971, and for births that may have been re-registered between these dates, please contact us for further information.

Please be aware that in the case of weddings that took place in religious buildings, we may not have the records.
