Who can be witnesses to my marriage and how old do they have to be?

Legally, you need at least two witnesses to your marriage. They can be either friends or family - there is no legal age limit, but we would prefer that the witnesses are 16 years or over. If a witness is under 16, we would ask that you provide an extra witness.
