Registering a birth

Does the father have to come with me to register a birth?

He does if you were not married to him at the time of the birth, and you wish his details to be entered in the birth register.

If he is not able to come with you, and you still want his name in the register, you can register using a statutory declaration. A form is available from this office which explains how to use it.
