Who pays for the support service?

Most people needing a support service will get it free of charge. The money will be paid directly to the organisation providing the support, rather than the person receiving it. Sometimes people pay for support themselves but this depends on financial circumstances and the organisation providing support will help assess this. Some people will benefit from a "Fairer Charging" financial assessment by Stockton Borough Council; this will help decide whether they can afford to pay the support charge.
