My landlord refuses to accept my rent, what can I do?

If your landlord refuses to accept your rent, this does not end the tenancy. In these circumstances, the tenant should keep the rent in a safe place and make a note or keep a copy of correspondance concerning the offer of rent and the landlord's refusal to accept it. A Solicitor, the Citizens' Advice Bureau or a Housing Aid Centre will be able to give advice.
