Will I be placed in temporary accommodation?

When you present yourself to the Homeless Officer on your eviction date you may be sent to temporary accommodation if you cannot be rehoused immediately. This accommodation cannot be booked in advance and places are allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Homeless accommodation could be a room in a homeless hostel or bed and breakfast and could also be outside the Stockton area.

The temporary accommodation is offered on a no-choice basis; if you do not take the accommodation offered you will have to make your own arrangements to rehouse yourself until you are offered suitable permanent accommodation. In this case the council would have discharged it's duty to you.
