Is there anything else I need to know?

You must take the following into account when you are staying in homeless temporary accommodation

  1. You must inform Jobcentre Plus that you are staying in homeless temporary accommodation
  2. You must complete a Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit claim form and submit it to the Housing Benefit office on the first day that you move into your homeless temporary accommodation
  3. You must seek advice from the Housing Options Service if you need to stay away from your homeless temporary accommodation, even if it is just for one night - if you fail to do this you may be booked out of the accommodation
  4. You must pay your contribution of the rent every week on the agreed date
  5. If you require your mail to go to a different address from the homeless accommodation you must ensure that everyone is informed at this stage
Failure to adhere to these rules may mean that your temporary accommodation is withdrawn and the Council may not provide you with alternative accommodation.
