What happens to HMO's which are exempt?

These properties will still be required to acheive the same standards as those required to register, this will be acheived by working with owners, landlords and managers of HMOs.

The Housing Conditions Team will advise you as to which HMOs this applies and what is needed. The Housing Conditions Team can use enforcement powers to ensure non-registerable HMO's meet the required minimum standards.
