Does the school I prefer have to be within the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees?

Just as parents living outside the Borough can ask for places for their children in our schools, you can ask for a place in a school in another borough or county.
Under the 'Greenwich Judgement' of 1989, local authorities cannot discriminate against applications from outside their area and must treat all requests in the same way.

You will need to apply through your own local authority using their common application form. They will then pass your application onto the relevant authority to consider.
