School admissions Frequently Asked Questions

Just as parents living outside the Borough can ask for places for their children in our school, you can ask for a place in a school in another borough or county.

Under the "Greenwich Judgement" of 1989, local education authorities cannot discriminate against applications from outside their area and must treat all requests in the same way.

If you want to apply for a school outside the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees, you should contact the Education Department of that local authority for advice. However, you should apply for a place on the preference form we have supplied.
