What choice of primary school do I have for my child?

You have the right to apply for a place for your child in any school. If you are applying for a place at a community or controlled school, we will decide which school your child can go to. It is worth looking at the policy to see where you come under the criteria.

The admission to community schools can be viewed on our website www.stockton.gov.uk/schooladmissions.

If you are applying for a place at a voluntary-aided school, the governing body of the school will decide whether your child can go, but you will still have to fill in a common application form and return it to us. However, if under the co-ordinated admission arrangements, you could be offered more than one place at a school, we will offer your child a place at the school you have ranked highest on the form. To view admission policies for VA schools please look at the Primary & Secondary Booklet or contact the school direct.
