If I have just moved into the area, how do I get a place in a school for my child?

If you are new to the area, you may not know which schools are closest to you and which is your admission zone school. You could contact the Admissions Officer (on 01642 526605) who will give you this information. They will also send you a map of your admission zone if you ask for one. They may also be able to tell you which schools have places. (You are not restricted to these schools. You could apply for any school.)

Or alternatively you can look on our website www.stockton.gov.uk/schooladmissions and click on the Education Interactive Map to see admission zones or School Finder to find out more information on schools.

When you have decided which school or schools you would prefer your child to go to, you should write to:
the Admissions Officer if your preferred school is a community or controlled school; or the governors of the school if your preferred school is a voluntary-aided school.
