Since September 2006, the way we deal with admissions has changed. This is because the Government wants all parents to be sent one offer of a school on the same day. To achieve this, each local authority has had to publish the way they will co-ordinate admissions for their area. You can ask for a copy of the Stockton-on-Tees Co-ordinated Scheme by phoning 01642 526605. For a place in a community or voluntary-aided (church) primary school within Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council, you will have to fill in a common application form from us if your child is due to start September 2009. These will be available from week commencing 1 December 2008. If your child currently goes to a Stockton-on-Tees school nursery, a form and an information pack will automatically be given out. If your child's details are not registered with a Stockton-on-Tees School, you may need to ask us for a form.
This year applications will be allocated using Equal Ranking. This means that all preferences put down on your common application form will be treated equally. However, we will try to meet your highest ranked preference. |
