What happens if I am stopped with my child during a Truancy Patrol?

You will be asked to give some basic details ie name of your child, date of birth, address and the name of the school they attend. The information given is also passed onto your child’s school so they may update their records and take action where appropriate. If it is found that there is no valid reason for the absence you will receive a warning letter from the Attendance Service and may be liable for a Fixed Penalty Notice fine.
