How can I make a noise complaint?

Complaints can be made to the Environmental Health Unit the following ways:-


in person at our office during office hours -see opposite
by telephone
by letter
by e-mail.
in the case of serious noise problems occurring at night you can contact our out of hours noise complaint service see contact details opposite.

Your complaint should include the following information:-

Your name and address and (where possible) a telephone number.
The address (or site) where the noise is coming from and the type of noise.
When and how long the noise occurs.
The way the noise affects you (e.g. stops you from sleeping).
Anything you have done to try and deal with the problem (e.g. speaking to the person making the noise).
Any information on landlord details [if relevant].

Details of your name and address will be kept in the strictest confidence.
