I want to be able to access my drive by car, with a dropped kerb. What is involved?
The council do undertake work to install dropped kerbs to allow residents to access the drive with vehicles. We can arrange a quotation free of charge with a no obligation survey.
Customers can also hire a building company to carry out the work but certain criteria must be met before the work can commence. The criteria is:
· Request an opening up licence from Stockton-On-Tees Borough Council (this is chargeable and varies, call us for information). This allows a company to work on the public highway.
· The company/builder you use must have public liability insurance of up to 1 Million pounds before being granted the licence.
· We must see proof of the builder's qualifications.
