Why is the council now charging for the removal of bulky household waste?

We now charge for the removal of bulky household waste. This is because there has been a general increase in the amount of waste that we throw away and we need to try to keep down the cost of disposal. We are also committed to encouraging Stockton Borough residents to recycle or reuse waste as much as possible.
