Electoral Registration

2. Why should I complete a registration form?

  1. If you do not register then you cannot exercise your democratic right to vote in any election.
  2. The register is used by credit reference agencies and by the courts to call people for jury service.
  3. It is the law that every house must complete an electoral register form. The Council may contemplate taking legal proceedings against householders who fail to return their registration form.
