Roseworth Library is the centre of a thriving community which boasts a housing centre, social services offices, community centre and busy row of shops. The Library is part of the Roseworth estate, an area of local authority housing on the northern outskirts of Stockton.
The Library opened in 1956, and is now used particularly by the elderly and also has an especially high attendance of children, though people of all ages are most welcome.
