South Stockton Greenway
Phase 1 of the South Stockton Greenway, a project that will provide a traffic-free route between Hartburn and Preston Park linking into the existing cycle network to both he north and south, will start on site on Monday 16th January. The first phase will involve path surfacing an new path creation between Darlington Road in Hartburn and the A66. It is estimated the work will take 10 weeks.The works are being carried out by Highway Construction Services.
As part of the scheme a new crossing will be constructed on Yarm Road south of the Moorhouse Estate Road junction to provide a safe crossing into Preston Park and onto the south bound cycleway. This work will be carried out be the Council and Middlesbrough Signals.
