Aiskew Grove Shopping Parade
Measures to improve safety and ease congestion at the shopping parade on Aiskew Grove (Hartburn), commenced on site on 24th November 2008.
Work undertaken was:
- construction of ten parking bays (including one disabled bay)
The scheme provides improvements for all modes of transport to this busy
shopping parade by including new cycle stands, lowered kerbs for
pedestrians and widening of the road on Kildale Grove to make it easier for
buses to pass each other.
Other elements of work include planting of six new trees, replacement of
concrete bollards with cast iron bollards and introduction of high quality
paving stones to the front of the shops.
This Scheme was completed on 24th February 2009.
