A177 Durham Road, Egress from Tesco Site

Junction improvements were completed on the A177 adjacent to the Tesco site on Thursday 27th November 2008

As part of the scheme a new signalised junction was created and the existing pedestrian crossing was upgraded to a Toucan crossing with cycle facilities. The A177 was widened to two lanes on the southbound carriageway, from the Tesco egress to Summerville Farm roundabout. Both northbound and southbound carriageways were resurfaced from the roundabout to the access to Tesco.
