Saltholme Cycleway
A new footpath/cycleway link has been constructed between Newport Bridge and the Transporter Bridge. The cycleway has been constructed alongside the existing carriageway of Newport Bridge Approach Road, Haverton Hill Road and Port Clarence Road (on existing highway verge). The cycleway provides an improved route to the RSPB site at Saltholme which was granted outline planning consent on 11 December 2003.
Details of the route are shown on the attached drawing no. D1/124/2/1.
The works were completed on 17th October 2008.
