Stockton High Street Improvements: Maxwell’s Corner
Direct Services are carrying out works to install new traffic islands and signals and resurfacing at Maxwell’s Corner as part of the Stockton High Street regeneration works. The works started on Tuesday 10 April 2012 and are programmed for 10 weeks. The works also involve the resurfacing of Bishopton Lane to the junction of North Street and also Norton Road between King Street and Middle Street.
The main works are due to be carried out Monday to Friday between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm. It will, however, be necessary to carry out the resurfacing of the carriageway under temporary road closures which will affect the High Street, Norton Road and Bishopton Lane. To minimise disruption, any such operations will be restricted to Sunday working and advertised in advance of the works.
Access to businesses will be maintained at all times during the construction period.
As part of this works, an inside lane closure is required outside the Manhattons Pub from Monday 23 April 2012 for approximately 3 weeks.
Yarm Road – Access to Housing Site
Highway Construction Services have commenced works includes a new signalised junction into the Bellway Housing Site off Yarm Road, together with the construction of a right turn lane into the site and the widening of the southbound carriageway of Yarm Road, on the approach to the A66 interchange.
Works are expected to last for approximately 9 weeks during which, traffic management and lane closures will be in place. Attempts will be made to keep delays and disruption to a minimum by carrying out the final surfacing at night and over weekends.
Seamer Road, Hilton
As a result of Raymond Brown Construction installing a new Wind farm site, temporary traffic signals are required (Premier Traffic Management 07818432354) on Seamer Road, Hilton until 23 July 2012, off peak only. Turbine and other associated deliveries will be carried out between 12 May and 1 June 2012, additional heavy vehicle movements can be anticipated.
Seal Sands Link Road, Billingham
As a result of National Grid / Electricity Alliance carrying out overhead cable and pylon works, temporary traffic signals (Hattons 01388775542) are required on Seal Sands Link Road, Billingham on Friday 25 May 2012.
Station Road, Billingham
As a result of Network Rail carrying out emergency level crossing works, a temporary road closure will be required over the Level Crossing Station Road, Billingham from Midnight until 6am Sunday 20 May 2012.
The Square, Stockton
As a result of Kitson Graphics removing a print press from Municipal Buildings print room, temporary traffic management and possible temporary road closures will be in operation on The Square, Stockton on Thursday 24 May 2012 between 14:00 and 17:00. Traffic disruption is expected during this time and vehicles are encouraged / directed to use Thistle Green and Bishop Street.
