Third Local Transport Plan

The Local Transport Plan (LTP) sets out our plans and strategies for maintaining and improving all aspects of the local transport system.

The Council's third Local Transport Plan (LTP3), covering the period 2011-16, was published on the 1st April 2011. The document is set out in two parts; the strategy and the delivery and is available to view from the Additional Resources section below.

Please be aware that due to the change of national Government in May 2010, policy and guidance on many areas of transport planning is still emerging leaving some areas of this document incomplete. In particular the supporting strategies, such as the Public Transport Strategy, which provides detail on certain areas of the LTP are developing as national policy gradually emerges. These documents will be finalised in due course, in the meantime, the supporting strategies from LTP2 are shown in the Additional Resources section below.
