The Second Local Transport Plan is supported by a series of seven 'Daughter Strategies'.
Each of the Daughter Strategies considers a key piece of the local transport 'jigsaw' and sets out an Action Plan for its delivery over the next five years. These Action Plans will, therefore, be the principal means by which the Local Transport Plan is implemented.
A Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) of the Final LTP has also been prepared. As well as assessing the likely environmental impact of the interventions proposed within the Local Transport Plan, the SEA includes a set of indicators against which the actual impact of these interventions on the environment will be monitored over the period up to and including 2010/11.
