Bus Pass Information - 16 to 19 Years
If you are a young person aged 16-19 years, living in the borough of Stockton-on-Tees, you can get a bus pass that entitles you to unlimited half-price travel.
The cost of the bus pass is £8.00 for a year (from September 2011).
The bus pass is free if you or your parent/carer gets certain benefits. A list of these benefits is available in the frequently asked questions section on the left hand side of this page. You will need to provide proof that you or your parent/carer receives one of these benefits.
Where you get your bus pass from and what information you will need to provide depends on your circumstances.
You will also need to supply proof of where you live.
If you are a young person that is in full-time education and you attend a Tees Valley college
- Abbey Hill College
- Bede College
- Egglescliffe Sixth Form
- Hartlepool College of Further Education
- Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College
- Middlesbrough College
- St Mary's Sixth Form College
- Stockton Riverside College
- Stockton Sixth Form College
You can apply for your bus pass when you enrol at college.
If you are a young person and attend any other college or 6th Form elsewhere across the Tees Valley
Please apply at the Arriva Travel Store or Stagecoach Travel Office, Stockton High Street.
All other young people (working or unemployed)
Can get a bus pass by visiting the Arriva Travel Store or Stagecoach Travel Office, Stockton High Street.
If you are a young person attending a Specialist College outside of the Tees Valley area
You may be able to get help with half fare travel depending on your circumstances, please contact the Community Transport team.
