Changes to Older Person's Bus Pass Scheme
The concessionary bus pass qualifying age is changing. The age that people can apply for a bus pass will change from 60 years to 65 years. This started to apply from 6 April 2010 and will be fully achieved in 2020.
If you already have a bus pass you will not lose it. And if your 60th birthday will take place before 6th April 2010 you can still apply for your bus pass in the usual way.
The Changes to Concessionary Bus Pass Scheme document explains when you may be eligible for an older persons bus pass over the coming years.
