Borough Wide Car Parking Review
The Environment Select Committee carried out a review of the Car Parking service area during 2010. The subsequent Borough wide car parking review outlined the current parking regimes and made recommendations on the way forward in each of the main town centres in the Borough. The Action Plan recommendations were reported to Cabinet in December 2010.
The report has now been approved for consultation by the Head of Technical
Services in consultation with the relevant portfolio holder and is now
being used to consult with elected ward Councillors and Town/Parish
Councils. In addition, independent Market Research will be carried
out in September 2011 to establish the specific parking requirements of
Yarm traders, residents and visitors.
The report and subsequent consultation comments will be discussed by
Stockton Council's Cabinet (currently programmed for November 2011).
