Bus Pass Information - 16 to 19 Years

If you are a young person aged 16-19 years, living in the borough of Stockton-on-Tees, you can get a bus pass that entitles you to unlimited half-price travel.

The cost of the bus pass is £10.00 for a year or, if you are a student - £5.00. The bus pass is free if your parent/carer gets certain benefits. A list of these benefits is available in the frequently asked questions section on the right hand side of this page. You will need to provide proof that your parent/carer recieves one of these benefits.

Where you get your bus pass from and what information you will need to provide depends on your circumstances. More information about this is listed below.

1. If you are a young person that is in full-time education and you attend one of the following colleges:

  • Riverside College
  • Stockton Sixth Form College
  • Bede College


You can get your bus pass when you enrol at college.

2. If you are a young person and you are in full-time education elsewhere across the Tees Valley:

Please apply at your college. The college will then contact us with your information. We will issue you bus pass by post.

3. All other young people (working or unemployed) can get a bus pass by:

  • Contacting us
  • Visit the Arriva Travel Store, Stockton High Street


You will also need to supply proof of where you live.
