Residents Parking Scheme

Resident's Parking Zones are helpful in places that experience parking difficulty due to large numbers of people wanting to park a vehicle there. A Resident's Parking Zone is now well established at Victoria Estate and on part of Hardwick estate. These were joined by the new Stockton Town Centre West zone back in March 2010.

Residents of each zone can buy a permit that allows parking at anytime in any of the marked Residents parking bays within their zone.

This is to help to put a stop to non-residents parking outside peoples houses in areas where parking spaces are limited. Only vehicles displaying a permit can be parked in Victoria Estate and Stockton Town Centre West between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm - Monday to Saturdays; or 8.00am and 6.00pm every day at Hardwick. Please note that permits are not transferable between zones.

To get a resident's permit we must recieve proof that the applicant lives in the property (rent book, tenancy agreement). We must also receive documented proof that the vehicle is registered to that address (vehicle registration documents, insurance certificate). A permit will only be issued to the person who keeps and uses the vehicle. The cost of a resident's permit is £10.

In addition, residents may also purchase a visitor permit. This can be purchased whether the applicant has their own vehicle or not. This can be displayed in the visitor vehicle and on their departure, returned to the resident. The cost of a visitor permit is £10.

If you have a business in the Residents Parking Zone and have a vehicle which is registered at the business address, you may apply for a business permit. The cost of a business permit is £50.

A Parking Permit application form and guidance notes are available below to download and print. Or you can call to the Car Parks and Concessionary Fares Office to collect an application form.
