Residents of Victoria Estate, Stockton-on-Tees are eligible to purchase a permit that allows parking at anytime in any of the marked bays within the estate.
This is to stop non-residents parking outside peoples houses in areas where parking spaces are limited. Only vehicles displaying a permit can be parked in the zone between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm - Monday to Saturdays.
To get a resident's permit we must recieve proof that the applicant lives in the property (rent book, tenancy agreement). We must also recieve documented proof that the vehicle is registered to that address (vehicle registration documents, insurance certificate). A permit will only be issued to the person who keeps and uses the vehicle.
In addition, residents may also purchase a visitors permit. This can be purchased whether the applicant has their own vehicle or not. This can be displayed in the visitor vehicle and on their departure, returned to the resident.
If you have a business in the Residents Parking Zone and have a vehicle which is registered at the business address, you may apply for a business permit.
For an application form and advice please call into Gloucester House or ring the contact number.
Further parking schemes
following the success of the Victoria Estate scheme calls have been made to the council for more such schemes. Plans are underway to create an area at Hardwick, close to the hospital, and an area just to the west of Stockton town centre as the next areas for resident friendly parking schemes.
