Parent partnership service
The parent partnership service offers independent advice and support to parents and carers regarding special educational needs.
The aim of this service is to help parents have access to support and information regarding their child's special educational needs.
The parent partnership officer can offer support and advice to parents during the statutory assessment process. Parents can also contact the parent partnership officer even if their child is not 'statemented' or known to the SEN support services.
The parent partnership officer can assist parents if they are thinking about taking a case to a 'special educational needs' tribunal. This service does not offer representation at tribunal hearings but can put you in touch with other agencies that offer this.
The service is impartial and confidential at all times.
For additional information please contact the parent partnership officer (01642) 527158.
