The Stockton-on-Tees Graduate Teacher Training Programme (GTP) offers an employment based route into teaching that incorporates an integrated and coherent on-the-job training programme and allows trainees to qualify as a teacher while they work.

The programme, funded by the Teacher Development Agency (TDA), offers a high quality training curriculum and incorporates centre and school based training.  The aim of the programme is to recruit and support candidates to gain valuable classroom experience and work towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and through the completion of several Master Level modules, will also be awarded a Post Graduate Certificate of Education.
