Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
In Stockton-on-Tees we believe that developing the capacity for pupils' learning is linked directly to improving the capacity for continuous learning for all staff and governors in our schools.
We believe that CPD is one of the keys to enabling schools to sustain improvement, develop their autonomy and become effective self-evaluating institutions. We aim to promote a culture of shared responsibility for CPD and seek to motivate and retain a high quality workforce. Our CPD provision and documentation is designed to support recruitment, retention and career progression for all members of the school workforce and governing bodies.
