Behaviour for Learning Service

The Behaviour for Learning Service is committed to the views expressed in the Steer Report (Learning Behaviour) and implemented through the Education and Inspections Act 2006, which states that:

  • The quality of learning, teaching and behaviour in schools are inseparable issues and the responsibility of all staff
  • All schools have the potential to raise standards if they are consistent in implementing good practice in learning, teaching and behaviour management
  • Parents, pupils and schools all need to have a clear understanding of their rights and responsibilities

The various teams in the service provide a range of services to support schools, parents and pupils in translating these beliefs into practice.
