SEN Monitoring and Evaluation Service

This service comprises a Manager, two Consultants and part-time administrative support. It is funded jointly by Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council and Darlington Borough Council and was established in January 2004.

The core purpose of the service is to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the use of resources delegated and devolved to schools to meet the needs of pupils with special educational needs. Regular visits are made to schools to focus upon various aspects of policy and provision and to assist in their development.
