Assessment for Learning (AfL)
Stockton is committed to the development of assessment for learning in schools. The implementation of Primary and Secondary Strategy materials is supported through both courses and professional development in schools. Stockton LA has also worked in partnership with King's College team during 2005-07 to develop school based AfL enquiry projects in primary and secondary schools and colleges. There is also a primary strategy learning network (PSLN) in Stockton which has a focus of developing AfL within a group of schools.
Assessment of Learning
Stockton ensures that annual statutory assessment at all key stages are conducted appropriately. Advisers and consultants work with schools offering training and advice and raising awareness and understanding of changing regulations.
