SPECIAL SCHOOLS

Stockton-on-Tees Local Authority has four special schools that cater for a variety of needs.

We are committed to the inclusion of all children within their local mainstream school where this is practical.

Age 4 to 11 years for children with profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, Severe Learning Difficulties and Autism.

  • Abbey Hill School & Technology College - 01642 677113

Age 11 to 19 years for children with profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, Severe Learning Difficulties, Autism, and clinically anxious.

  • King Edwin School Secondary - 01642 360418

Age 11-16 years for children with Behavioural, Emotional and Social Difficulties.

Age 4-16 years for children with Moderate Learning Difficulties and Behavioural, Emotional and Social Difficulties.

Stockton-on-Tees Local Authority has special provision within various mainstream primary schools, which can offer small group provision with extra adult support for a wide range of needs.
