The Special Educational Needs Section is situated in Wrensfield House, Wrensfield Road, Stockton-on-Tees, TS19 0AT. The Section deals with all aspects of special education in accordance with the Special Educational Needs Code of Practice. The Team is available to answer any individual queries which you may have about your child's Special Educational Needs. The staff co-ordinate the Statutory Assessments, which are carried out on children who have Special Educational Needs and also arrange educational placements for these pupils.
The Section also liaises with schools, parents / carers in the processing of documentation in respect of Annual Reviews and 14+ Transition Plans for pupils aged 14 years and over who have a Statement of Special Educational Needs. The 14+ meetings are also held to help a pupil move from full time education to becoming an adult.
